1.   We're only a Hand Grenades throw from Ft. Jackson, the country's largest basic training base.  Go out the back gate, execute a right face on Percival Road, a column left on Alpine Rd.  By now you should see the smoke and smell the flavor!  We're on the left.  Fall in troops!  We support the military!

2.   Coming from the east on Interstate 20 (Camden, Florence, Washington, DC etc) take Exit 76B, left turn at the light - follow the smell (good) for about a half mile - we're on the right.  If you see a bunch of Tanks and Humvees you went too far!!!!  Back UP!!!

3.   If you're coming from the north (Charlotte, Chicago, Niagara Falls) via I-77- Take exit 16A loop around like you were going to get on I-20 (BUT DON'T GET ON I-20!).  Stay to the right and get on Alpine Road.  The large building you see on the right is the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Headquarters. see above note about going too far.

4.   If you're coming from Columbia, Jacksonville, Miami etc.on I-77,  You will pass Ft. Jackson on the right and then look for exit 16 to I-20.  But again!  Don't get on I-20! Stay to the right and exit onto Alpine Road. Pull into our spacious parking lot just a half mile later.

5.  And now, the trickiest set of directions, pay attention as many people have had to add a few miles to their trip because they missed the turn and wound up doing a loop back on Clemson Road.  I've added some special symbols to make it clearer.  We sure don't want you missing our turn-off because it's a long long way to your next pulled pig fix!
If you are coming from the west on
- like from the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, (people do fly in for our buffet) make sure you slow down as things begin to happen fast! After you pass Two Notch Road (Exit 74) .  Stay to the right and exit on toward    Charlotte. JUST 2 TENTHS of a mile later you need to shift left and take the Alpine Road exit.  Careful!  Glance over your right shoulder as now you have to move back to the right at and watch the sign for Alpine Road.  Shuffle right. don't stop as there is a "Keep moving" sign.  After the turn, bare left to the center lane or you'll wind up in the Blue Cross/ Blue Shield parking lot.   If you missed the shuffle right and kept going straight, you'll find yourself back on , on the way to Myrtle Beach.  (Where you won't find any barbecue as good as ours!) You 'll have to do a loop back on Clemson Road, which was mentioned in the first paragraph. Now, where are we???
Oh yes - - go a half mile and turn right - into our parking lot.  You may have to park in the back because every one else came from an easier place and filled up the front.

6.   And just for you flyers (we love helicopter pilots) our LZ (Landing Zone) is located 14 NM , 28° FROM the CAE OMNI [114.7 Ch 94], between Columbia Metro and Shaw Air Force base.  It's also near McEntire Air National Guard base.  Watch out for Restricted Area R-6001 A&B just east of us.  Contact Shaw Approach on 118.85 or Columbia Approach (both Class C airspaces) on 124.15 for flight following as there are a lot of restricted areas and we don't want your pig pickin' interrupted with a visit to the local FAA. For those of you with a new fangled GPS, the coordinates are 34° 03 222 minutes North and 80° 53 572 minutes West.  Land to the southeast so you don't over fly the Army base! We can't hold anything larger than a Blackhawk - call ahead for ground guides and permission - (NO FUEL)  Trees on three sides with wires to the North.  Heavy smoke on Wednesdays as that's when we fire up the cookers and start smoking the pigs!
7.  If you're an astronaut, click on this link and see our place from outer space, zoom in - you might see the proprietor Champ McGee working the ribs on the cooker! Zoom out and see the awful mess the transportation engineers made of the intersections of I-20 and I-77 (see instructions 5)   http://maps.google.com

8.  If all else fails, call for directions and someone will walk you through it - or even come get  you. 803-788-8238 - 803-318-6682 (cell)
